Dear
______________________,
Thank you for your question and for sharing your experience.
Yes, scents like this are a very common form of communication. Scent is
a powerful trigger of memory and it is often used in an attempt to make
us aware of the person, place or event with which we most strongly
associate it.
Of course, these scents can and do sometimes have ordinary origins.
To help determine if this scent is an attempt at communication, the
next time you smell it, stop what you're doing and get quiet. Turn
inward by taking a few deep breaths and ask yourself what you were
thinking or doing at the time you smelled it. Were you thinking of your
loved one? Had you been through their belongings or looking at photos
of them recently? Is it a special day, such as an anniversary or
birthday? If you find a connection with one or more of these things, it
may be a communication simply to let you know their energy is still
with you.
You can also try asking questions. Speak to the person, either out loud
or within your self. Ask for further confirmation or validation of the
presence of their energy and then wait for your answer. You may smell
the scent again as you do this or you may hear them respond to you
within your self. Sometimes the answer will come in more subtle ways.
Examples of this that people have experienced are: a photo of the loved
one appearing in a place it would not normally be, the sensation of
being touched by an unseen hand and a shared favorite song playing the
next time the radio is turned on.
Be open to the answer coming in ways you might not expect for it to
and, most importantly, listen to your Intuition.
I hope this is helps some. Thank you again for writing.
